Received a Refusal? You Have Options
A spouse visa refusal can be devastating, but it's not the end of the road. Depending on the reasons for refusal, you have several options available.
Your Options After Refusal
1. Administrative Review
If you believe the Home Office made an error in processing your application, you can apply for an administrative review within 28 days of receiving the decision.
2. Appeal to the First-tier Tribunal
For decisions made outside the UK, you can appeal to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber). This process allows you to present your case before a judge.
3. Reapply
In some cases, the best option is to address the issues in your refusal letter and submit a new, stronger application. This can be faster than the appeal process.
4. Human Rights Claim
If you have strong human rights grounds (such as family life with children in the UK), you may be able to make a human rights claim.
